Got the new head unit installed today. Because the wires were cut from the connectors of the previous head unit already, we had to strip and solder the wires onto a harness that fit into a Clarion plug (back of Clarion Head Unit). The wire colors didn't match up so we followed the wiring diagrams for both the car and the harness and soldered the joins together. The car hasn't got speakers in it yet but we tested the head unit with a small speaker and its all good! It was a kind of tricky time having to get all the wires right and we had to make our own ground point. No photos as it was only soldering today and we only put the head unit in today because we only worked on it for an hour or two.
